As we prepare for our SBIR NIH resubmission, I’m excited to share that we’re strengthening our team with some new additions. We’re now bringing on a physical therapist to enhance our development process, and Eric Pisciotto has officially joined us in a more formal capacity as our Chief Medical Officer. These additions underscore our commitment to creating a robust solution for the mobility and rehabilitation space. While we’ve been successful in finding experts from occupational and physical therapy backgrounds, we’re still searching for someone with specialized geriatric experience. If you know someone who could fill this role, please let me know!
I continue to spread the word about our work through podcast interviews, most recently with Claire Harbour on “Disrupt Your Career.” Stay tuned for that episode!
We’ve also made a few changes to adjust for the winter, relocating our prototype to the basement to ensure we can continue our testing and development uninterrupted.
On a more personal note, we’ve had a few team members facing health challenges: Josh will be undergoing knee replacement surgery, and Davis is scheduled for back surgery. It seems like surgery season for many of my friends and colleagues from my Anheuser-Busch days—sending a reminder to Kate Mansker to stay safe!
On a positive note, the book Is This Seat for Me? has reached 96 reviews on Amazon with an average rating of 4.8. Reading these reviews has been incredibly rewarding, and I’m proud of the positive feedback it’s received.
Additionally, Gregg is currently in France for a DRS thing and will be back on Saturday.
Unfortunately, I recently lost my brother Mike, who passed away in Columbia, South America. I’ll be traveling to Arizona for his funeral. I apologize for the missed appointments and any delays this may cause. Last fall, my progress was stalled by pneumonia, and this year, it seems I’ll be taking time off for different reasons. Autumn is proving to be a challenging season.
Finally, I attended a Washington University School of Medicine Seminar and Panel discussion on Medical Devices last week. The insights reaffirmed that we’re on the right track with our direction and approach, and I’m eager to keep moving forward despite these personal setbacks.
Thank you for your understanding and support during this time.
