Buswell Biomedical Update

Hello Buswell Biomedical Community!

Here’s the latest news from Buswell Biomedical:

St. Louis Startup Week

We’re excited to share that Sheila will have a display at St. Louis Startup Week! This event is a fantastic opportunity to connect with others in the entrepreneurial space and showcase our work with UPMO. Although this event is not free, Sheila has an extra ticket, so if you’re interested in attending, please let her know.

This updated team provides a well-rounded set of expertise to take our project forward and align with the feedback provided by NIH reviewers.

Prototype Optimization

We’re making strides with our prototype optimization! Currently, the UPMO prototype is reaching speeds of 11 inches per second. We’ve ordered weights to test top speeds under various loads, ensuring UPMO can handle diverse user needs. As we prepare for colder weather, we’ve moved the prototype to our basement for continued testing and refinement over the winter months.

Podcast Interviews & Invest Midwest Blog Feature

Sheila will be recording interviews for two exciting podcasts, the “Vroom Vroom Veer Podcast” and “Women in STEM.” These platforms provide wonderful opportunities to share more about UPMO and Buswell Biomedical’s mission.

Additionally, she recently recorded an interview for “St. Louis Incredible Business Stories.” We’ll keep you posted on when these episodes go live, so stay tuned for the links!

Finally, Invest Midwest recently updated their website, and the blog where Sheila’s interview is featured has been given a prominent spot. It’s a wonderful highlight for us, showcasing Buswell Biomedical’s story and mission to a broader audience. Check it out on the Invest Midwest site!

Thank you for being a part of the Buswell Biomedical journey. We’re thrilled to keep advancing with your support!
